John Previti
Director

John has extensive experience in taxation, superannuation and business development.  He is a qualified Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce from Curtin University majoring in Accounting and Taxation.  John has completed the Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants SMSF Accreditation Course from the University of NSW.

John is a customer-focused accountant committed to providing excellent service to his clients, developing strong business relationships and ensuring all client calls are returned on the same day. 

Everybody wants to legally reduce the amount of tax they are required to pay.  John specialises in developing strategies to reduce the tax our client's pay using business structures such as companies, trusts and Self Managed Superannuation Funds.

Changes to the superannuation rules have provided significant opportunities to establish tax-free retirement incomes.  Through his postgraduate studies and constant professional development, John has a strong understanding of Self Managed Superannuation Funds and "thinks outside the square" to develop strategies to suit our client's needs.

John is also the Director of Ruthvens Finance, a boutique finance broking firm that specialises in helping business owners get the best deal for their home or business loans.  We also can assist with car and equipment finance, ensuring our clients structure their finance in a way to maximise their tax deductions.

In his spare time, John enjoys being a member of the West Coast Eagles, boating and spending time with his family. 



Sharon Yujnovich
Senior Associate

Sharon commenced working at Ruthvens Accountants in February 1995.  Prior to joining Ruthvens Accountants she completed an Associate Diploma of Business.  Sharon's role at Ruthvens Accountants is to manage our client's needs with all aspects of their business requirements including the preparation of financial statements, income tax returns and business activity statements.  Sharon supervises and mentors our team of accountants. 

Sharon is also a qualified dance teacher and is involved in the family horse racing business.



Daniel Tropiano
Senior Accountant

Daniel joined Ruthvens Accountants in January 2013 as a graduate accountant.

He completed a Bachelor of Business Double major in Accounting and Finance at Edith Cowan University. His accounting major is ICAA approved and his Finance major has RG146 ASIC compliance in the key specialised areas of Securities, Financial planning, Superannuation and Insurance - general, life and broking.

Daniel is responsible for the preparation of income tax returns, financial statements and business activity statements. He enjoys a challenge and working hard to achieve the best results for our clients. He was also presented the 2013 Auditing award from the Auditors Generals office for the highest mark achieved for the year.

 He enjoys singing, playing the guitar and performing on the weekends. He also enjoys a variety of sports and is a supporter of the west coast eagles. 



Corey Watson
Accountant/Finance Broking Assistant

Corey joined Ruthvens Accountants in April 2016. He is a client services assistant and is responsible for liaising with clients, preparation of tax returns and various other accounting requirements.

Corey is currently studying a Bachelor of Business, with a major in Accounting and a double minor in Economics and Finance, at Edith Cowan University.

He enjoys camping, 4x4ing and most outdoor activities. He also enjoys various sports including skiing, AFL and NRL.



Courtney Doust
Client Service Assistant

Courtney joined Ruthvens Accountants in October 2015. She is the cheerful voice and friendly face you see in the reception area. Courtney's organisational skills, energy and attention to detail ensure she keeps things running smoothly for the  team. When Courtney's not working, she enjoys keeping fit at the gym as well as trying new restaurants around Perth with her friends.



Laura Hancock
Client Service Assistant

Laura joined Ruthvens Accountants in January 2011. She is responsible for liaising with clients, tax payments and Australian Taxation Office negotiations.

With over 10 years' experience working within accounting firms Laura has developed proficient administration skills perfect for assisting with client's needs.

Laura loves spending time with her daughter, husband and friends and is also a qualified dance teacher. 



Elena Burns
Bookkeeper - Company Accountant

Elena joined Ruthvens Accountants in June 2010 as an accountant.

Elena has completed accounting studies at TAFE and further education with the Taxation Institute of Australia.  Elena specialises in dealing with small business clients, assisting them with their tax, GST and MYOB issues.

In Elena's spare time she loves going bike riding along the beach with her husband and kids.
